Course Requirements A course may be comprised of up to three zones: Foundation, Core, and Flexible . Foundation zone: this zone provides the foundational knowledge needed to succeed in the course if you are coming from a different disciplinary background. Core zone: this zone is compulsory and covers the specific disciplinary or professional requirements of the course. Flexible zone: this zone provides breadth to the course and is comprised of elective units. Depending on the admission point for which you qualify (see Entry Requirements), you will need to complete some or all of the zones. The Core zone is always compulsory.
