This presents an overview of current theory and practice in the teaching of the skills: listening, speaking, reading, writing and of the elements: grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation.

Focuses on teaching English to primary and secondary aged pupils.
TESP004 Grammar for TESOL	(20 credits at SCQF level 11)	Optional module
Explores English grammar and use with reference to the needs of learners and teachers.
TESP005 Introduction to CALL	(20 credits at SCQF level 11)	Optional module
Comprises a rationale for using CALL; background theory and research on how computers process text, images and sound; consideration of how to choose and exploit general purpose software for EFL purposes.
